Level 4

Level 4

In this level, your child will unlock another level of learning as the system moves away from short and long vowels and introduces new less common vowel sounds and letter patterns.

With a solid foundation already formed in previous levels, your child is ready to add the next layer to their learning journey.

Level 4 consists of 17 new lessons that cover less common vowel sounds such as:
/ oo / as in the word too
/ ow / as in the word now
/ oo / as in the word look
/ oy / as in the word boy
/ or / as in the word for

New visual codes are introduced within this level. Some visual codes from the earlier levels will still appear in this level.

The Reader in Chapter 4 appears without visual codes.

One Vowel Sound per Section

Each lesson focuses on a single vowel sound only. Repetition of a single vowel sound carried throughout a session, helps the student consolidate the learning and reduces the load on the working memory.

Extra Processing Time

Short bursts of repeated sound patterns within a lesson, practised over consecutive days, make it easier for the learner to grasp information, and ultimately, process it to their long-term memory.

New Visual Codes introduced at a gradual pace

The visual code becomes the identifying mark that allows the learner to ‘activate’ the letters with ease and confidence. Transforming the very abstract nature of learning to read into a more trusted and concrete experience for the learner.

Familiar style and layout

Each lesson offers a similar pattern of learning and providing a familiar style and layout.
